inspired by the japanese word "taru" (meaning barrel) and the finnish word "myth", our bar celebrates craftsmanship, precision, and creativity.

we craft highballs and cocktails with an emphasis on simplicity, yet with exciting and carefully balanced flavors that are as memorable as they are delicious. we work exclusively with seasonal, hand-selected ingredients, which means our menu changes every month to ensure freshness and innovation.

all our cocktails and highballs are inspired by the five basic tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami. don’t worry – each drink is perfectly balanced. the name simply reflects its most dominant flavor.

from thursday through sunday, TARU offers a creative and exciting dining concept. our team has created a modern menu featuring a variety of dishes with our own twist. we're proud to be using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients that highlight subtle flavors and textures.

our menu offers both à la carte options and curated 4- and 5-course menus. For the full experience, we recommend pairing your dishes with our drink pairing menu — available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

we strive for balance in every menu, combining vegetables, fish, and meat while catering to various dietary preferences.
